Accounting Manager

ATHENA is actively sourcing for an Accounting Manager for our manufacturing client located in Torrance, CA.

Responsibilities:

• The Accounting Manager will supervise one Accounts Payable team member and oversee the payment process, ensuring accurate expenditure recording and PTO calculations during bi-weekly payroll entries.
• Maintain fixed assets and monitor Construction-in-Progress projects, assisting with monthly inventory recording and quarterly evaluations, including LCM (lower of cost or market) and slow-moving inventory assessments as needed.
• Review and reconcile monthly and quarterly accounts, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements across subsidiaries while preparing reports and analyzing financial data for management.
• Act as a liaison with external and internal auditors during quarter-end and year-end audits, supporting compliance and reporting requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with at least six years of relevant experience, including one year in a supervisory capacity required.
• Fluency in Mandarin to prepare and interpret quarterly financial reports required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Office Suite, and accounting software required.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Flexibility to work outside standard hours when necessary.
