Job Details :
We are currently seeking a Portfolio / Asset Associate for a Contract to Hire position within our Private Equity Client in NYC / Long Island. This exciting role will provide you with the opportunity to leverage your skills in Commercial Real Estate, Capital Expenditure, Portfolio, NPV, Lease, VTS, Occupancy, Renewals, and Leases. You will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our asset portfolio, ensuring maximum return on investment, and driving strategic financial decisions.
Responsibilities :
As a Consulting Asset Associate, you will :
1. Oversee and manage a diverse portfolio of commercial real estate assets, ensuring optimal financial performance and value enhancement.
2. Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including NPV, to evaluate potential investments, capital expenditures, and lease agreements.
3. Utilize VTS to track and manage lease agreements, renewals, and occupancy rates, ensuring efficient space utilization and maximum profitability.
4. Develop and implement strategies for lease renewals and negotiations, working closely with tenants and internal stakeholders.
5. Monitor and evaluate market trends and real estate conditions to inform strategic planning and decision-making.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive asset management initiatives and projects.
7. Ensure compliance with all relevant financial and real estate regulations and standards.
Qualifications :
The successful candidate will have :
1. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the Accounting and Finance or Real Estate industry.
2. Proven expertise in managing a commercial real estate portfolio, with a strong understanding of capital expenditure and lease agreements.
3. Proficiency in using VTS or similar real estate management software.
4. Strong financial analysis skills, including experience in NPV and other financial modeling techniques.
5. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with a proven track record in lease renewals and negotiations.
6. A strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions based on data and market trends.
7. A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, or a related field. An advanced degree or professional certification would be an added advantage.
