Are you a skilled CNC Machinist looking for an exciting, fast-paced role in the manufacturing industry? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced CNC Machinist to join our dynamic team on the 1st shift. This is a permanent position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package. As a CNC Machinist, you will be integral to our operations, using your expertise in CNC Machine Operation to ensure the production of high-quality parts and components.
Responsibilities :
As a CNC Machinist, your day-to-day tasks will include :
1. Setting up, operating and maintaining CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.
2. Understanding specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
3. Translating instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
4. Preparing and loading raw materials and parts onto the machines.
5. Supervising the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.
6. Inspecting and measuring finished products to ensure they meet requirements.
7. Checking and maintaining machinery daily to ensure functionality.
8. Reporting any malfunctions to the supervisor and assisting in troubleshooting processes.
9. Adhering to all safety protocol and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications :
The ideal candidate for the CNC Machinist position must possess the following qualifications :
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Operator or in a similar role in the manufacturing industry.
2. Extensive knowledge of CNC Machine Operation including understanding detailed blueprints and mechanical drawings.
3. Proficiency in using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools.
4. Excellent understanding of computer numerical control (CNC) programming.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
7. High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational training or an apprenticeship will be an asset.
8. Excellent physical stamina with the ability to lift and move heavy equipment and materials.
9. Strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines.
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
