General Responsibilities
Ensure the accuracy of accounting and financial data while maintaining compliance with GAAP.
Prepare and report financial and operational results to senior leadership on a monthly basis.
Oversee monthly and year-end reconciliation processes, including areas such as claim liability, insurance, and taxes.
Maintain and update the organization’s accounting policies and procedures.
Handle treasury functions, including managing lines of credit, bank balances, loan payments, covenant requirements, and bank audits.
Coordinate risk management and insurance programs.
Manage the annual financial statement review / audit process.
Research complex accounting issues, provide potential solutions, and present conclusions to leadership.
Prepare monthly management discussion and analysis (MD&A) and reporting.
Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
Contribute to M&A activities, including due diligence and leading financial systems and process integration.
Management Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of over 10 accounting professionals, ensuring successful project completion by planning, prioritizing, and monitoring progress.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial performance and data quality.
Conduct annual performance reviews for the accounting team.
Oversee the accounting department to ensure strong internal controls and proper maintenance of all systems and functions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders to understand their needs and provide tailored business solutions.
Foster a positive and supportive work environment, enhancing communication at all organizational levels.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Oversee financial transactions with a focus on cash flow planning and ensuring availability of funds.
Provide financial data for tax returns and quarterly estimated tax payments.
Support operational teams to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Oversee payroll system operations.
Ensure prompt collection of accounts receivable and follow up on aged items.
Ensure timely payments of debt obligations and / or shareholder distributions.
Maintain accurate charts of accounts, accounting files, and systems of controls.
Required Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA and / or CPA highly desirable.
5-10 years of progressively responsible financial leadership experience, preferably in logistics.
Strong computer skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with Intacct, Paylocity, and Salesforce is a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and manage effectively at all levels of the organization.
Excellent problem-solving and creative skills, sound judgment, and timely decision-making capabilities.

Salary : $170,000 - $195,000
