Our dynamic and innovative construction firm is seeking a Permanent Contracts and Commercial Lawyer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned legal professional to work in a fast-paced environment, providing expert legal advice and support on a wide range of contractual and commercial issues. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing customer disputes, collections, liens, and contract disputes, ensuring that our business activities comply with relevant laws and regulations. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field.
Responsibilities :
1. Draft, review, negotiate, and interpret a wide range of complex commercial contracts related to the construction industry.
2. Provide expert legal advice on a wide range of contractual and commercial issues.
3. Manage customer disputes, collections, liens, and contract disputes, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our company.
4. Keep up to date with changes in legislation and best practice, ensuring that our business activities comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
5. Develop and implement effective legal compliance policies and procedures.
6. Provide training and guidance to other team members on contractual and legal issues.
7. Work closely with other departments, providing legal advice and support as needed.
8. Represent the company in legal proceedings, if required.
9. Manage relationships with external legal counsel.
Qualifications :
1. Law degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Contracts and Commercial Lawyer, preferably in the construction industry.
3. Proven experience in managing customer disputes, collections, liens, and contract disputes.
4. Strong knowledge of contract law and commercial law.
5. Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. High level of attention to detail.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
11. Admission to the state bar where the company is located.
12. Proven track record of providing accurate and effective legal counsel.
13. Strong understanding of the construction industry and its legal environment.
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
