We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Electrician to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in challenging environments, have a keen eye for detail, and possess a profound understanding of electrical systems in an industrial setting. The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our manufacturing operations through regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all electrical equipment. This position is permanent and offers a competitive compensation package, including benefits and opportunities for professional development.
Responsibilities
1. Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
2. Perform regular tests and inspections on electrical systems to ensure optimal operation.
3. Read and interpret complex electrical diagrams, blueprints, and specifications.
4. Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
5. Manage and repair electrical control systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLC).
6. Adhere to all quality and safety codes in handling electrical systems.
7. Collaborate with other team members to identify and solve electrical problems.
8. Train and guide junior electricians and apprentices.
9. Recommend modifications and upgrades for electrical systems to improve performance.
10. Conduct preventive maintenance programs to minimize machine downtime and increase productivity.
Qualifications
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician in a manufacturing environment.
2. Proven experience working with PLCs.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and troubleshooting techniques.
4. Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and blueprints.
5. Outstanding problem-solving and analytical abilities.
6. Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.
7. Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
8. Valid license to practice the profession.
9. Strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines.
10. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
