In this role, you will be responsible for managing the company's purchasing operations, ensuring the procurement of raw materials and other supplies at the best prices and of the highest quality. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, an analytical mind, and a deep understanding of market trends. This role is perfect for someone with a strategic mindset, superior negotiation skills, and a desire to make a significant impact on our company's bottom line.
Responsibilities :
1. Oversee the purchasing department and all related activities, ensuring the procurement of raw materials, equipment, tools, and supplies at the most favorable terms for the company.
2. Develop, implement, and manage the company's purchasing strategies, aligning them with the organization's objectives.
3. Conduct regular market research to identify potential new suppliers and partners, maintain relationships with existing suppliers, and negotiate contracts to achieve cost-effective deals.
4. Collaborate with other departments to forecast future material needs and create comprehensive purchasing plans.
5. Monitor and manage supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and assessing their performance.
6. Analyze and manage procurement-related risks and implement risk mitigation strategies.
7. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
8. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of industry trends, market conditions, and product developments.
Qualifications :
1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a purchasing management role within the manufacturing industry, with a focus on raw materials.
3. Proven track record of successfully negotiating and managing contracts with suppliers.
4. Strong knowledge of market research, data analysis, and procurement best practices.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
6. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with a customer service-oriented approach.
7. Proficiency in using purchasing software and other related computer applications.
8. Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
Salary : $110,000 - $150,000
