We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Permanent Radiation Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by the Radiologist, following established practices and standards. This role requires a high level of expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have a key role in ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients, contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional healthcare.
Responsibilities :
- Administer prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts, using radiation therapy equipment according to established practices and standards.
- Accurately deliver the planned course of radiation therapy under the direction of a Radiation Oncologist and Medical Physicist.
- Regularly evaluate treatment efficiency and patient reactions to identify changes in treatment planning.
- Observe radiation safety measures for patients, staff, and self to ensure safety.
- Assist in the preparation of sealed radioactive materials, such as cobalt, radium, cesium, and isotopes, following radiation safety guidelines.
- Maintain detailed records of all treatment activities, including machine use, patient positioning, dose delivered, and patient's reactions.
- Provide emotional support and empathy to patients and their families, explaining the process and potential side effects of treatment.
- Participate in research and development activities and stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements.
Qualifications :
Salary : $93,000 - $120,000
