Our company, a leading name in the construction industry, is looking for a dedicated and experienced Permanent Staff Accountant to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a challenging and rewarding environment, where you will play a critical role in our financial operations. You will be responsible for maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledgers, as well as performing general bookkeeping and accounting duties.
Responsibilities :
As a Permanent Staff Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include :
1. Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring they are accurate and timely.
2. Conducting monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
3. Performing bank reconciliations regularly and promptly resolving any discrepancies.
4. Analyzing and reporting on financial status including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management, and budget preparation and analysis.
5. Assisting in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to ensure all financial transactions are executed according to legal requirements.
6. Collaborating with the accounting team to streamline accounting functions and operations, providing suggestions for system improvements when necessary.
7. Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, and reporting variances.
8. Participating in the preparation for the annual audit.
Qualifications :
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Staff Accountant position should possess the following qualifications :
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field, preferably in the construction industry.
3. Proficiency in bank reconciliation, financial statement preparation, account reconciliation, and the general ledger.
4. Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial data analysis.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional skills in Excel.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
7. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial data in a clear and concise manner.
9. A proactive approach to work, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. A strong ethical framework, with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
