Our company, a leading name in the construction industry, is looking for a dedicated and experienced Permanent Staff Accountant to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a challenging and rewarding environment, where you will play a critical role in our financial operations. You will be responsible for maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledgers, as well as performing general bookkeeping and accounting duties.

Responsibilities

As a Permanent Staff Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include

• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring they are accurate and timely.
• Conducting monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
• Performing bank reconciliations regularly and promptly resolving any discrepancies.
• Analyzing and reporting on financial status including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management, and budget preparation and analysis.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to ensure all financial transactions are executed according to legal requirements.
• Collaborating with the accounting team to streamline accounting functions and operations, providing suggestions for system improvements when necessary.
• Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, and reporting variances.
• Participating in the preparation for the annual audit.
  
  

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Staff Accountant position should possess the following qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field, preferably in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in bank reconciliation, financial statement preparation, account reconciliation, and the general ledger.
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial data analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional skills in Excel.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial data in a clear and concise manner.
• A proactive approach to work, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A strong ethical framework, with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
