As a Senior Data Scientist in the Product team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Ramp's data science initiatives. You'll lead product research and experimentation, contributing to product and operational roadmaps to enhance the customer onboarding and activation experience. By partnering with various teams, you will apply advanced analytics to improve processes and the customer journey, enabling the company to continuously improve and optimize user engagement.
Accountabilities:
- Develop and refine Ramp's product research and experimentation frameworks, from hypothesis creation to implementation and analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize product opportunities, leveraging data science to drive tangible business outcomes
- Perform advanced statistical analysis on large product datasets to solve customer problems and provide actionable insights
- Influence decision-making by partnering with product, engineering, and design teams to improve Ramp's product offerings
- Contribute to the data team culture by shaping processes, tools, and systems that scale decision-making across the organization
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as Math, Economics, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Engineering, or Computer Science
- A minimum of 5 years of industry experience as a Data Scientist, with a strong background in Python (numPy, pandas, sklearn, etc.) for data analysis and predictive modeling
- Proficiency in SQL (preferably Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery)
- Proven leadership in driving product improvements and growth through data science
- Strong understanding of the experimentation lifecycle, including hypothesis generation, experimental design, A/B testing, and statistical analysis
