Position Description
Job Title: Academic Dean
Position Type: Full-time
Reports To: Head Principal
Location: Pepper Pike & Peninsula Campuses
Job Summary: Heritage Classical Academy seeks a qualified Academic Dean. Applicants should demonstrate a vibrant Christian testimony and growing relationship with Jesus Christ. They must support HCA's Statement of Faith and be excited about classical Christian education. The ideal candidate will be an expert in classical Christian pedagogy and curriculum.
Biblical Expectations: All employees possess a Christian testimony, support HCA's Statement of Faith, and the mission to cultivate lifelong learners who think and live for Christ.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Heritage's Statement of Faith, Mission, and Vision statements.
- Conduct oneself with Christ-like professional behavior.
- Provide oversight of academic policies and practices.
- Research, monitor, and evaluate academic programs and curricula.
- Coach/train teachers on selected HCA curriculum.
- Manage curriculum inventory, ordering, and distribution.
- Assist with registrar and transcript responsibilities.
- Oversee state-required standardized testing and analyze results.
