Keyser Healthcare Center is seeking a talented Activity Director to lead our activities team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for developing and implementing resident-centered activities, collaborating with residents to create personalized plans, and ensuring that all activities meet high standards of quality and safety.

This is a full-time, salaried position that offers competitive wages, benefits, and PTO plans. The ideal candidate will have prior management experience, a Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or a related field, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

1. Developing and implementing activity programs that cater to diverse resident interests and needs.
2. Collaborating with residents to create personalized activity plans and ensuring their participation and engagement.
3. Leading meetings, training sessions, and workshops to promote resident-centered activities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
4. Maintaining accurate records and reports related to activities, including participant attendance and feedback.
5. Building and maintaining relationships with community partners, vendors, and local organizations to enhance our services and offerings.

Requirements

1. Prior management, supervisory, or leadership experience in a healthcare environment.
2. Bachelor's degree in therapeutic recreation (preferred) or related field or 90-hr course for activity professionals and continuing education.
3. Strong knowledge of activity practices, standards of practice, state practice acts and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and staff.
5. Able to plan, organize, and conduct a variety of activities, including recreational, educational, and therapeutic programs.
