About the Role
The YMCA Alliance of Northern New England is seeking a seasoned and accomplished professional to serve as its next Chief Executive Officer. This is an exceptional opportunity for a leader who can guide the organization's efforts to strengthen local YMCAs and expand their impact within the communities they serve.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic services to YMCA member organizations, focusing on key projects such as strategic planning, board development, and governance.
- Work effectively with member Y CEOs and key Alliance staff to create and execute a strategic plan that addresses the needs of the Ys in the Alliance.
- Advocate for public policies that address critical social issues in the Y's areas of impact, activating community leaders, policymakers, influencers, and the public to foster dialogue and catalyze positive change.
- Serve as an ambassador for the mission, purpose, and vision of the Alliance, positioning it and member Ys as vital partners for community and statewide change.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of five years of experience in a senior management role with a YMCA or related experience at a comparable organization.
- Proven track record of budgetary and fiscal management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team, develop and implement strategic plans, and advocate for public policies.
