The Director of Emergency Response will be responsible for leading a team of dedicated professionals who provide critical services to the community. As a senior leader, you will oversee operations, personnel, and financial management to ensure the district's success.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, fire science, or a closely related field from an accredited college/university. A minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in the fire service, including at least five (5) years as a chief officer with management and administrative duties, is required.
You will work closely with elected officials, organized labor, and volunteers to develop and implement strategic plans for fire protection and emergency response. Your experience in Administration/Union relations and collective bargaining will be highly valued.
Duties:
- Lead a team of 15 full-time firefighters on shift, 3.5 full-time administrative staff, and 15-20 part-time/paid-on-call members
