Job Title: Director of Patient Safety and Risk Management
MaineHealth seeks a Director of Patient Safety and Risk Management to oversee safety initiatives across 240 ambulatory practices.
The Director will assess current practices, identify areas for improvement, and implement standardized protocols to enhance patient safety and minimize potential risks.
This role provides leadership, direction, and management for patient safety and risk management activities across MaineHealth's multi-state ambulatory footprint.
Reporting to the Vice President of Quality & Safety, this position facilitates a transition from a retrospective, reactive model to a prospective, proactive loss prevention and harm reduction patient safety program.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or healthcare-related field
- Minimum three years' experience in healthcare Risk Management
- Prior management experience
- Knowledge of physician practice systems and operations
Key Skills:
- Analyzing and interpreting complex data
- Preparing comprehensive reports and proposals
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel between locations
