We are seeking a highly qualified Chief Technology Officer to lead our technology department at Gateway Regional High School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing our district's technology strategy, ensuring that it supports both educational and operational goals.
About the Role:
The Chief Technology Officer will serve as the primary technical expert for the firewall, VMware infrastructure, networking equipment, and server farm. This individual will also oversee the management of district hardware, software, servers, and telecommunications systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a multi-year technology plan that aligns with the district's educational goals and operational needs
- Collaborate with administrators, staff, and the Technology Committee to forecast future technology requirements and ensure scalability
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN), ensuring optimal performance and security
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Supervision, Administration, IT-related field (e.g., Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering) and/or industry-related certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, CISSP)
- Minimum of two years of experience with networked information systems in an educational or professional environment
