About the Position
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Director to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for leading our financial operations, developing and implementing financial policies, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and coordinate finance activities, including budgeting, payroll, accounts payable, utility billing, and accounting.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Oversee payroll processing, including review and approval, backup responsibilities, journal entries, and W-2 approvals.
- Maintain and manage the General Ledger, reviewing and reconciling accounts, creating journal entries, and ensuring accuracy.
- Resolve banking issues related to assigned finance functions and prepare year-end entries, reconciliations, and reports.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in finance, accounting, public management, or a related field.
- Eight or more years of progressively responsible experience in governmental accounting.
- Five or more years of supervisory experience, or any combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
