We are currently seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join our team as the Senior Director, US Medical Affairs Operations.
This role is a critical position within our organization, responsible for leading and overseeing critical capabilities within the Medical Affairs department.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving strategic initiatives, streamlining operations, and ensuring timely delivery of critical medical activities.
The role will require close collaboration with senior leadership to provide actionable insights and support decision-making within the Medical Affairs team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee critical capabilities within the Medical Affairs department
- Drive strategic initiatives to improve efficiency and ensure timely delivery of critical medical activities
- Work closely with senior leadership to provide actionable insights and support decision-making
- Develop and implement best-in-class omnichannel medical communication and publications
- Manage the Medical Affairs budget, resources, and timelines
- Oversee clinical research across our registrational and non-registrational trial portfolio
- Lead, mentor, and develop a large, high-performing team within Medical Affairs Operations
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of medical affairs across the organization
- Serve as a key liaison between Medical Affairs and external stakeholders
Requirements:
- Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent) preferred
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
- At least 5 years in a leadership role within Medical Affairs, Scientific Communication, Medical Information, or related functions
- Proven experience in leading large, cross-functional teams
- Deep knowledge of medical affairs, clinical development processes, publication and regulatory standards
- Strong background in managing complex projects, budgets, and timelines
