Role Overview
The Director of Service Operations will oversee the daily operations of PENTAX Medical's Service/Repair Center, transforming it from reactive to proactive partner for customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains material plans, ensuring all program requirements are met, labor hours are optimized, cycle times are minimized, and Repair Service costs are controlled.
- Negotiates and approves Supplier Quality Agreements to ensure quality commitments are achieved.
- Leverages technology and data to guide planning and activities, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
- Establishes production methods and ensures compliance with ISO13485 and FDA quality control standards, developing budget and cost controls.
- DIRECTS shop operations, compiling, storing, retrieving, and analyzing production/repair/service data for reports.
- Provides guidance on repair process planning, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs.
- Determines responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives.
- Ensures all employees comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Manages subordinate supervisors in Repair Service, overseeing overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
- Monitors and drives Service Contract utilization and profit performance, defining Contract models and prices in close cooperation with the Director of Customer Service.
- Manages a large team of Technicians and their supervisors, including interviewing, hiring, training employees, appraising performance, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Operations or related area of study with 7-10 years working and leading teams or organizations.
- Experience with repair center management and corresponding ERP systems.
- Previous hands-on experience with completing repairs directly in a regulated environment, such as in MedTech, Aviation, Car Manufacturing.
- Clear and structured process mind; experience developing, documenting, training, and improving processes.
- Experience developing effective partnerships with peers across the organization.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and people from various functional areas.
Work Environment
This role requires onsite presence at the MONTVALE, NJ office on an as-needed basis.
