Job Title: Registered Nurse
The 61st Street Service Corp seeks a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team under the direction of the Nurse Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing effective and comprehensive nursing care to patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess patients prior to imaging procedures, including CT, MRI, and other studies, to ensure safe administration of contrast materials.
• Administer medications and intravenous fluids accurately and safely in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards.
• Perform point-of-care testing for Glucose, Creatinine, and Pregnancy as needed.
• Develop and implement care plans for patients undergoing pre- and post-imaging procedures.
• Maintain safety equipment and report any issues to Security.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping of patient care-related checklists and inventory management.
• Store medications, syringes, catheters, and related supplies in a secure and organized manner.
Requirements:
• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing is required;
• Ability to make sound judgments and execute appropriate actions based on patient needs and facility policies;
• Basic proficiency in computer skills, including Electronic Health Systems, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and email systems;
• Sufficient visual and auditory acuity to perform tasks related to patient care;
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred;
