About the Role
We're seeking a talented Principal Embedded Software Engineer to lead our efforts in designing and developing software for custom hardware used in millions of devices worldwide. This individual will be responsible for creating infrastructure and tools for rapid and reliable deployment of code to customers, writing software for Starlink's custom phased array and modem silicon, improving the user experience of satellite internet, developing a scalable telemetry system, and building robust systems resistant to adversarial attacks.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop software for custom hardware used in millions of devices
- Create infrastructure and tools for rapid and reliable deployment of code to customers worldwide
- Write software for Starlink's custom phased array and modem silicon
- Improve the user experience of satellite internet through innovative software solutions
- Develop a scalable telemetry system handling trillions of data points from millions of devices
- BUILD robust systems resistant to adversarial attacks
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or a related field; OR 15 years of professional experience in lieu of a degree
- At least 8 years of development experience in C, C , Golang, Python, or Rust
- Proven track record of developing, debugging, and deploying software used in real-world embedded devices
- Creative problem-solving approach, exceptional analytical skills, and strong engineering fundamentals
- Fundamental knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP etc.) and expertise in debugging, performance optimization, and testing
