As a Senior Government Contract Manager at MLT Systems, you will play a vital role in advancing corporate business development initiatives and managing the Capture Process for assigned opportunities. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen understanding of government contracts and acquisition programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire capture lifecycle on assigned opportunities, from qualification and pursuit decision points through release of the solicitation.
- Develop, update, maintain, and provide input to Capture Plans that track all activities and document all information gathered throughout the capture lifecycle.
- Assist in gap identification and assessment, brainstorming, and strategizing to develop strategies to overcome weaknesses and mitigate risks.
- Foster, maintain, and document a network of trusted teaming partners, both internal and external to the company, to support capture and proposal activities.
- Maintain clear and ongoing communication with executive leadership to keep them informed about opportunity direction and progress.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Acquisition Management, Project Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
- 5 years of demonstrated experience with government contracts and government acquisition programs is required.
- Understanding of the defense acquisition lifecycle per Department of Defense Instruction 5000.
- Knowledge of fixed price and cost reimbursement contracts.
