Requirements:
The District is seeking a candidate who possesses the following qualifications:
- A Master's Degree in educational administration or related field.
- Minimum five years prior successful teaching experience.
- Demonstrated leadership and management qualities.
- Experience communicating information and directing presentations to various audiences and on various platforms.
- Experience developing positive and favorable relationships with students, staff, parents, and community members.
- Evidence of experience and training needed to perform the functions described in the secondary principal's job description.
- Fingerprint/Background clearance.
- Knowledge of Washington state school reform initiatives and mandates.
Preferred Qualifications:
The District would prefer candidates who possess the following additional qualifications:
- Prior experience as an administrator or teacher at secondary grade level.
- Supervising and evaluating certificated and classified staff.
- Leading curriculum and program development, particularly with middle level grades and in math.
- Encouraging excellence in both students and staff through mentoring and recognition.
- Strong communication skills for staff, student, and community engagement.
- Familiarity with tiered intervention programs, data driven instruction, and technology integration in education.
- Background in budget and grant management.
- Knowledge of SBAC testing coordination and administration.
- Familiarity with master schedule development.
- Experience in student leadership development, including Associated Student Body (ASB) programs.
