Our Mission
The State University of New York at Old Westbury is seeking a visionary leader who will embody our profile as the most diverse comprehensive liberal arts university within the SUNY System. The Vice President for Institutional Excellence (VPIE) will lead efforts to ensure that SUNY Old Westbury achieves excellence within each pillar of its next strategic plan.
This inaugural Cabinet-level position reports to the University President. The VPIE will be a collaborative leader who organizes senior leadership strategic and inclusive excellence activity, provides content expertise, and ensures institutional compliance.
They will manage projects and initiatives in coordination with other stakeholders on campus, ideally having a legal background or extensive experience meeting compliance regulations. As such, they will work with the Chief of Staff and SUNY General Counsel.
