Job Overview
San Diego Youth Services (SDYS) seeks a dedicated Bilingual Youth and Family Support Partner to join our HERE Now Program team. As a key member of our team, you will provide comprehensive trauma-informed school-based suicide prevention and early intervention services to middle and high school youth, their families, and caregivers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and deliver the Signs of Suicide (SOS) presentation to students and caregivers
- Provide risk assessments and crisis intervention resources and support services to youth/families
- Support program manager in coordinating online documents for Check Your Mood Week presentations
- Plan, coordinate, and conduct trainings and presentations to school staff, gatekeepers, and stakeholders
- Assist clinical coordinator in training new hires and volunteers
- Participate in crisis response including grief and loss counseling as needed
- Work with school personnel and community to reduce disparities and stigma in accessing mental health services
- Maintain accurate and timely uniform record documentation
