We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team as a Youth Facility Director 3. About the Role
This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. The successful candidate will have at least one year of experience as a Youth Facility Assistant Director 3, M-1 or Youth Facility Director 1, M-1, with a strong background in facility management and staff supervision. Non-State Experience candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree and seven years' experience in the administration of care/custody facilities for adult correctional, juvenile justice, mental health or forensic mental health clientele.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Directing the operations of a residential facility, including supervising rehabilitative, mental health, medical, education, and security services
* Maintaining community relations and serving as a spokesperson in the community and for the Office of Children and Family Services
* Assisting in the implementation and monitoring of various OCFS policies and procedures
* Providing on-call management coverage 24 hours per day, 7 days a week
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have a strong track record of leadership and experience in facility-based positions or central office roles with substantial responsibility for supporting OCFS-operated residential programs. You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including staff, residents, families, and community partners. A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and certification in a related area are highly desirable.
