Duties
Located on the Security and Emergency Management Staff, Executive Office for United States Attorneys (EOUSA), U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ). The Information Security Program Specialist is responsible for developing, administering and evaluating policies, procedures, accountability and methods for safeguarding classified National Security Information. Typical duties include :
- Manage the program for the Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs)
- Responsible for incident reporting involving the loss, compromise or event affecting the security of a classified system
- Oversee JCON-S and JCON-TS classified computer systems for secure processing
- Develop and monitor communications security (COMSEC) systems
- Identify security vulnerabilities
- Develop procedures to be in compliance with Departmental and National Security policies and controls
Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.

Qualifications
Specialized experience GS-14 : To be qualified at the GS-14 level, applicants must have at least 1 full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 in federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience managing programs involving the protection of National Security Information, program management of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs), incident reporting for personnel with access to classified information or who hold a sensitive position.
