The West Side YMCA is seeking a Reservation and Sales Director. Under the supervision of the Director of Guest Rooms and Residence, the Reservation and Sales Director will provide leadership and direction to the successful operation of the Reservations department and support leadership to the Guest Rooms and Residence departments. The Reservations and Sales Director will manage and direct group sales, third-party reservations, invoicing, and billing for the Guest Rooms business. In addition, they will collaborate with the Director of Guest Rooms and Residence to assist as needed in administering the PMS (currently Infor HMS), training Guest Rooms staff, managing revenue, and developing sales strategies.
Minimum Requirements :
- High School diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of six (6) years of progressive hospitality experience with at least one (1) year of supervisory experience; OR a 4-year college degree in a relevant field and at least two (2) years of progressive hospitality experience with at least one (1) year of supervisory experience.
- Experience with hotel / hostel operations, reservations, and accounting.
- Leadership experience in a hotel / hostel business.
- Experience with one or more PMS and / or CRS systems.
- Requires solid project management skills and must be very organized.
- Must be responsive and have excellent communication skills.
- Experience working various schedules and being “on-call” when not in the office.
- Data analysis experience.
- Experience communicating with C-level staff.
- Must be available to work after normal business hours and on weekends.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call.
