Responsibilities
As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that are critical to the smooth operation of our financial department. These include
- Managing daily deposits and ensuring all payments are accurately recorded and processed.
- Making daily invoice adjustments to correct any discrepancies and maintain accurate financial records.
- Conducting daily follow-ups with vendors on past due invoices to expedite payment and maintain good vendor relationships.
- Generating bi-weekly AR aging reports to provide a clear and accurate picture of our financial standing.
- Performing other duties as assigned to support the overall function of the accounting department.
- Serving as a backup for shipping clerks, demonstrating flexibility and a team-oriented attitude.
To be considered for this exciting role, candidates should possess the following qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounts Receivable role, preferably within a food processing or manufacturing industry.
- Expertise in handling daily deposits, invoice adjustments, and vendor follow-ups.
- Proven ability to generate accurate AR aging reports.
- Demonstrated experience in performing a range of accounting duties.
- Experience in a shipping clerk role or similar would be advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in all work.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage vendor relationships effectively.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
