Are you a seasoned Medical Biller and Collector looking for an exciting new opportunity to work remotely? Do you have a knack for handling insurance matters, commercial insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, and behavioral health? Are you a pro at AR collections and Excel? If so, we want you! We are a leading healthcare organization seeking an experienced Medical Biller & Collector to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. This role offers the flexibility to work from home and the opportunity to play a vital role in our company's financial health.

Responsibilities

As a Medical Biller & Collector, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth operations of our billing department. Your responsibilities will include

• Managing and executing medical billing tasks for our healthcare organization.
• Handling insurance matters, including liaising with commercial insurance companies, Medicaid, and Medicare.
• Performing AR collections and maintaining accurate records of all transactions.
• Utilizing your knowledge of behavioral health to manage related billing and collections.
• Processing claims and following up on denied claims to ensure maximum reimbursement.
• Reviewing patient bills for accuracy and completeness, and obtaining any missing information.
• Maintaining strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and company policy.
• Utilizing Excel to track, manage, and analyze billing and collection data.
  
  

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing and collections.
• Proficiency in insurance matters, including commercial insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare.
• Experience in behavioral health billing and collections.
• Proven track record in AR collections.
• Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets, use formulas, and analyze data.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• The ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Knowledge of medical billing software and electronic health records.
• Familiarity with medical coding and terminology.
