Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain laboratory specimens from patients as directed and ensure their safe transportation to the proper laboratory for testing.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records, inform physicians of results, and communicate with patients as needed.
- Prepare, clean, and maintain supplies in drawing areas and nursing stations.
- Collaborate with patients, physicians, and care team members to assess progress toward individual health goals.
- Compile and condense technical and statistical data for reports and records.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of medical experience in a laboratory or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Medical assistant or phlebotomy certification preferred.
- Excellent customer relations skills, ability to communicate effectively under stressful conditions.
- Able to maintain accurate records and have good organizational skills.
