We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Temporary to Hire Staff Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the financial transactions of our organization. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense reports, Concur, QuickBooks, advanced Excel, billing, reconciling credit cards, and an associate's degree in accounting. The Staff Accountant assists the Assistant Controller in the daily operations of the Accounting Department by performing the following duties in accordance with the company policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate is a strong Staff Accountant looking to take the next step in their career. Someone out of public accounting, or someone who has worked for large organizations would be a great match. This position is temporary/contract to hire.
As a contractor, you receive FULL benefits that are 75% paid for you and 25% for dependents, as well as 401K!!

Responsibilities
As a Consulting Staff Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in our financial operations, providing critical support to our accounting team while also serving as an invaluable resource for our clients. Your duties will include
- Managing accounts payable, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and processed.
- Performing month-end closing tasks, including preparing and posting journal entries.
- Reconciling credit card transactions and resolving any discrepancies.
- Generating and sending out invoices, as well as tracking and resolving outstanding payment issues.
- Utilizing Quickbooks to maintain financial records and generate reports.
- Leveraging advanced Excel skills to create pivot tables and perform V-lookups for data analysis.
- Assisting with ad hoc projects as needed, providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
The ideal candidate for the Consulting Staff Accountant role will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and practices, coupled with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Specific qualifications include
- A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role, with a focus on accounts payable and month-end close processes.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Excel, including pivot tables and V-lookups.
- Experience with billing and credit card reconciliation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality in all work.
