The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledgers, and performing general bookkeeping. You will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data, and your work will directly contribute to the company's success.
Responsibilities
As a Accountant, your key responsibilities will include
- Reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures.
- Completing monthly journal entries and posting them to the general ledger.
- Utilizing Microsoft Great Plains to manage and analyze transaction information.
- Ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met, and maintaining monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports.
- Preparing and recording asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Analyzing and reconciling balance sheet and income statement accounts, preparing accruals and prepayments, and managing month-end postings.
- Assisting with the preparation of budgets and forecasts, and managing records of company costs.
- Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
To be successful in this role, you will need
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including knowledge of complex functions and formulas.
- Experience with Microsoft Great Plains or a similar accounting software.
- Strong understanding of accruals, general ledger functions, and the month-end/year-end close process.
- Excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Experience with creating financial statements and general ledger functions.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
