As a Permanent Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in our Accounting and Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the financial health of our organization. You will be responsible for a diverse range of accounting activities including invoice verification, accounts receivable, and state taxes. You will also be involved in contacting customers regarding overdue payments. We are looking for someone who brings meticulous attention to detail and a collaborative spirit to work well in our team environment. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field.

As a Permanent Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in our Accounting and Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the financial health of our organization. You will be responsible for a diverse range of accounting activities including invoice verification, accounts receivable, and state taxes. You will also be involved in contacting customers regarding overdue payments. We are looking for someone who brings meticulous attention to detail and a collaborative spirit to work well in our team environment. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field.
Responsibilities
- Carry out daily financial transactions including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivable data.
- Prepare and send out invoices, follow up on, collect and allocate payments.
- Carry out billing, collection and reporting activities according to specific deadlines.
- Perform account reconciliations.
- Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities.
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies.
- Maintain customer files and records to keep track of the financial transactions.
- Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.
- Regularly review and ensure compliance with state tax regulations.
- Contact customers regarding overdue payments and negotiate repayment plans.
- Collaborate with the team to improve financial processes and systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on accounts receivable and state taxes.
- Proven expertise in invoice verification and handling overdue payments.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a customer service orientation.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and maintain positive working relationships.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and accounting software.
- Familiarity with relevant legal and regulatory standards.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
- CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
