Responsibilities
As a Accountant, your primary duties will include
- Preparing financial statements, business activity reports, and forecasts.
- Monitoring financial details to ensure legal compliance.
- Supervising other employees in the financial department.
- Analyzing company financial performance and suggesting methods for improvement.
- Coordinating with management and staff to prepare budgets.
- Ensuring compliance with the law and company’s policies.
- Managing financial systems and budgets.
- Undertaking financial audits and providing advice.
- Liaising with internal and external auditors and managing financial audits.
- Analyzing and reporting on financial trends for senior management.
- Preparing tax returns and corporate reporting requirements.
- Assisting management in the decision-making process by preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
The ideal candidate for this Accountant role should have the following qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, including the ability to create and analyze financial reports.
- Proficiency in accounting software.
- Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of business strategy and metrics.
- Excellent mathematical skills.
- Solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
- Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
- Professional certification such as CPA or similar will be considered a plus.
