We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual for the role of Permanent Accounting Manager in our fast-paced and rapidly growing construction company. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of our projects, ensuring financial policies are adhered to, and providing accurate and timely financial information. This role is integral to our financial planning and plays a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of our operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of project cost accounting and percentage of completion, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

As the Permanent Accounting Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to

• Overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring all financial transactions are accurate and timely.
• Developing and implementing financial policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
• Managing the preparation and review of all financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
• Directing project cost accounting and percentage of completion to ensure accurate and timely financial information for all projects.
• Coordinating with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure all financial aspects of projects are accurately tracked and reported.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of budgets for new and existing projects.
• Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and standards.
• Providing guidance and support to accounting staff, fostering a supportive and productive work environment.
  
  

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Accounting Manager position will have the following qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. An advanced degree or professional certification (CPA, CMA, etc.) is highly desirable.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting management role, preferably in the construction industry.
• Proven experience with project cost accounting and percentage of completion method.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including GAAP.
• Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly convey financial information to non-financial staff.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
