We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. This permanent, full-time position is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned accounting professional to apply their skills in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment within the Accounting Finance industry. The successful candidate will play a critical role in our financial operations, including oversight of balance sheets, reconciliations, payroll, banking, invoicing, accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), payments, work-in-progress (WIP), and enterprise resource planning (ERP).

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
• Manage and supervise daily operations of the accounting department including month and end-year process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, trust account statement reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity etc.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
• Coordinate and complete annual audits.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Coordinate the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
• Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision support.
• Evaluate and manage risk in the business’s financial transactions.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. An MBA is preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is nice to have.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Proficient in accounting software, preferably NetSuite and QuickBooks.
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience with creating financial statements and general ledger functions.
• Excellent knowledge of balance sheet management and corporate banking.
• Expertise in payroll, invoicing, AR, AP, and payment processes.
• Experience with WIP and ERP is desirable.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage large, complex projects, and balance multiple tasks.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
