We are currently seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent, full-time position with excellent benefits. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, problem-solving professional with a strong background in accounting and finance. You will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks including bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, accounts payable, account reconciliations, and general office administration. This role requires a high level of accuracy and efficiency, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

As an Accounting Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include

• Performing daily accounting tasks such as bank reconciliations, account receivable, and accounts payable.
• Ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
• Matching invoices to purchase orders and processing payments.
• Assisting with month-end closing processes and account reconciliations.
• Providing administrative support to the accounting department, including data entry and file management.
• Utilizing Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks Desktop for financial reporting and analysis.
• Collaborating with team members to improve accounting processes and procedures.
• Complying with all company, local, state, and federal accounting and financial regulations.
• Developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients and vendors.
  
  

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Accounting Specialist position will have the following qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
• Extensive experience with bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and account reconciliations.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks Desktop.
• Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
