Key Responsibilities
This role presents an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as an Accounting Consultant. The successful candidate will be responsible for various financial and accounting tasks, including month-end reconciliations, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and special projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Perform month-end close process, including preparation and posting of journal entries, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, and analysis of results.
- Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial information.
- Engage in special projects as assigned, which may include financial analysis, process improvement initiatives, and support for strategic planning.
- Provide accurate, timely, and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions to enhance accounting processes and operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial procedures.
- Provide financial and accounting consultation to management, suggesting actions to increase efficiency and profitability.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.
- Proven experience with month-end reconciliations, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and handling special projects.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to create and report on financial data.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
- Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information.
- CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
