We are seeking an attorney to join our Tampa office with a strong background in litigation. The ideal candidate will have over four years of litigation experience, be proficient in pre-trial practices in both state and federal courts, and possess a proven ability to handle various aspects of the litigation process independently. This position offers an opportunity to work on a variety of cases, with a preference for candidates experienced in state or local government matters.
Responsibilities
Manage litigation cases from inception through resolution, including expert depositions, discovery, mediation, hearings, and dispositive motions.
Conduct thorough legal research and prepare high-quality legal documents and briefs.
Handle pre-trial practice independently in both state and federal courts.
Represent clients in court and participate in jury trials, if applicable.
Provide legal counsel with a focus on litigation strategy and case development.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.
4 years of litigation experience, including pre-trial practices.
Experience with expert depositions, discovery, mediation, hearings, and dispositive motions.
Jury Trial Experience Is Preferred.
Experience with state or local government matters is a big plus but not required.
