Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Associate Attorney for a Tampa-based prestigious and reputable law firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in various areas of law, including personal injury, immigration, and environmental law. This role requires excellent negotiation and litigation skills, as well as proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis. The Associate Attorney will work closely with clients to provide legal advice, represent them in court, and assist with case management in a supportive law office environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in personal injury and immigration cases.
- Represent clients in court proceedings and administrative hearings.
- Maintain accurate records and manage case files efficiently.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases and provide support as needed.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to practice areas.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain legal processes and options.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar association.
- Experience or strong interest in personal injury law, immigration law, or environmental law preferred.
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Prior experience in a law office setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
