Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of civil litigation from initiation to trial, including taking depositions, drafting motions, handling written discovery, arguing motions, and trying cases.
- Conduct thorough and detailed legal research to support case preparation and provide legal advice.
- Prepare legal documents such as contracts, briefs, motions, summonses, and subpoenas.
- Provide legal advice to clients, ensuring that it is accurate, concise, and comprehensible.
- Assist in ensuring that all legal activities of the organization are in compliance with the law.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, presenting evidence and arguments in a clear and compelling manner.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners to develop legal strategies.
- Maintain confidentiality and use discretion when handling sensitive information.
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
- Must be an active member in good standing with the State Bar.
- 5 years of experience in a law firm or legal setting, specifically in civil litigation.
- Proven experience in taking depositions, drafting motions, handling written discovery, arguing motions, and trying cases.
- Excellent legal research and writing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to provide accurate and pragmatic legal advice.
- Experience in preparing legal documents and ensuring legal compliance.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and legal team.
- Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
