Salary $220,000 - $275,000 per year

A Bit About Us

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the transformation of our financial and purchasing operations. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will be responsible for developing robust financial strategies, implementing best practices, and building efficient processes to support organizational growth. This includes redesigning the financial and purchasing departments, creating a closed-loop purchasing system with detailed cost accounting with cross-checks and sign-offs, and driving accountability, innovation, and efficiency across the company.

This organization is expected to double in size within the next few years and is looking for an experienced Director/VP of Finance or existing CFO to join this company. A CFO who has helped to build out teams and has been in a hands-on leadership role is critical for this position. Mining experience or an understanding of this industry is ideal but not required. This role is on-site in Hazelton, PA. The company will pay relocation for the right candidate (if they are not local).

Job Details

As the CFO, you will be responsible for

• Driving the company's financial planning by performing risk management and forecasting.
• Ensuring cash flow is appropriate for the organization's operations.
• Supervising all finance personnel (controllers, treasurers, etc.)
• Managing vendor relationships and overseeing all purchasing activities.
• Designing, implementing, and managing cost centers.
• Overseeing the development and implementation of SOPs across all financial functions.
• Preparing timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a quarterly and annual basis.
• Implementing and managing financial systems and software to streamline operations.
• Leading change management initiatives to drive efficiency and growth.
• Collaborating with executive leadership to make strategic decisions based on financial analytics and forecasts.
  
  

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably within the Mining industry.
• Proven experience in system implementation, financial reporting, purchasing, managing cost centers, developing SOPs, and leading change management.
• Exceptional leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial management software.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
• Professional certification such as CFA/CPA or similar will be considered a plus.
