QUALIFICATIONS : Masters Degree in a Social Service field, license eligible under the current Pennsylvania licensure regulations, with ten or more years of relevant experience in the delivery of social services. Minimum of eight years supervisory ability and administration skill required. Experience working with children and families in multi-disciplinary teams required. Good community networking skills, public speaking skills and written and oral communication skills required. Familiarity with personal computer word-processing and databases preferred. Knowledge of social media platforms (X, Instagram, Facebook and others) is key. Knowledge of website functionality is a plus. Understanding of EHR platforms is required.
GENERAL DUTIES : Responsible for programmatic leadership and direction of the agency’s programs. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position. Under the supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Program Officer will have the following responsibilities :
I. ADMINISTRATION
- Serves as a member of the Executive Management Team.
- Participates in preparation and monitoring of program budgets.
- Oversees application and allocation of program related grants.
- Ensures compliance with program related grant requirements, including billing requirements for services rendered.
- Attends Board of Directors Meetings.
- Staffs the Program Advocacy Committee.
- Collaborates with the Chief Executive Officer and other Senior Management Team members in organizational development.
- Monitor the balance between funding and expenditures and report concerns to the Chief Executive Officer.
- Responsible for the outcome of program objectives of the current strategic plan.
- Coordinate with the Chief Executive Director grant writing and county program proposals.
- Serve as the default on-call staff person for agency programs.
