Responsibilities
As a Civil Litigation Attorney, you will be responsible for handling all aspects of civil litigation matters from inception through trial. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to
- Representing clients in court and arguing motions.
- Conducting legal research and drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Developing litigation strategies and presenting cases to senior attorneys.
- Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients.
- Coordinating and managing litigation support staff and paralegals.
- Maintaining clear and regular communication with clients, keeping them informed about case progress and legal developments.
- Complying with all legal standards and regulations.
- Assisting with firm marketing efforts, including networking and business development.
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications
- Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar.
- A minimum of 1-5 years of experience in civil litigation.
- Excellent knowledge of litigation and court procedures.
- Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to resolve complex legal issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
- Proficiency in legal research software and case management systems.
