This role is ideal for an individual who is passionate about the construction industry and has a deep understanding of mechanical systems, including water systems, steam systems, HVAC, testing, sheet metal, utilities, compliance, building, and environmental codes. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant codes and regulations. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Manager with a Mechanical Engineering background to join our team. This role is ideal for an individual who is passionate about the construction industry and has a deep understanding of mechanical systems, including water systems, steam systems, HVAC, testing, sheet metal, utilities, compliance, building, and environmental codes. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant codes and regulations. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects from conception to completion.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
- Review the work progress on a daily basis and make necessary adjustments.
- Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
- Oversee the design and installation of mechanical systems including water systems, steam systems, HVAC, and utilities.
- Ensure compliance with all building and environmental codes.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction specialists.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in a construction management role.
- Proven working experience in mechanical engineering, specifically with water systems, steam systems, HVAC, testing, sheet metal, and utilities.
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material, and project management principles.
- Familiarity with construction/ project management software.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- A team player with strong leadership abilities.
- Knowledge of building and environmental codes and compliance regulations.
- Ability to solve problems and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an advantage.
