Job Details
The Corporate Controller will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of our financial data, optimizing processes, and supporting strategic decision-making. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Controller will also manage two accountants, providing leadership and mentorship. Experience in financial services is required, and proficiency in JD Edwards is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, financial reporting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Manage the month-end and year-end close processes.
Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
Provide leadership and mentorship to two accountants, fostering professional growth.
Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies.
Lead process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
Work closely with senior leadership to provide financial insights and strategic recommendations.
Leverage JD Edwards for financial reporting, system improvements, and automation opportunities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
7 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Prior Experience In a Financial Services Firm Is Required.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in JD Edwards is highly preferred.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
