Responsibilities
- Manage and execute cost accounting functions, including inventory valuation, cost of goods sold, product margin analysis, and manufacturing overhead.
- Conduct regular financial analysis, interpreting data, and providing actionable recommendations to management.
- Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual operating results for each department.
- Collaborate with departmental heads to prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards and regulations.
- Develop and implement effective financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide support for internal and external audits by preparing necessary documents and explanations.
- Participate in ad hoc projects, providing financial expertise and insights.
- Work closely with the management team to identify cost savings and profit enhancement opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cost accounting, financial analysis, budgeting, financial reporting, and managing the general ledger.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
- Proficient in financial software systems and databases, with a strong understanding of MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing a successful team.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions based on data analysis.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
