We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-motivated Permanent Controller to join our Accounting Finance team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the company's financial operations and accounting functions. We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-motivated Permanent Controller to join our Accounting Finance team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the company's financial operations and accounting functions. The Permanent Controller will be responsible for the preparation of monthly financial reports, annual budgets, financial statements, and will ensure the accuracy of our financial data.
Responsibilities
The Permanent Controller will be responsible for the following
- Oversee and manage all general ledger activity, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process.
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Develop and manage the annual budget, including forecasting and variance analysis.
- Manage the cost accounting process, including the allocation of overhead costs.
- Oversee the year-end close process and ensure all financial reports are accurate and completed on time.
- Manage the consolidation of financial statements for multiple entities.
- Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds.
- Implement and manage ERP systems to streamline financial operations.
- Prepare and present financial reports to the management team and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
- Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals.
To be considered for the Permanent Controller position, candidates must meet the following qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting role.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA, CMA, or MBA is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in ERP implementation and management.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Proven experience in financial statement preparation, annual budgeting, cost accounting, year-end close, cash flow management, and consolidations.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and mentor a team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
